Compass-Early-Learning-and-Car
Support school-age children at CELC Hillcrest in Campbellford, Ontario, using play-based learning and active supervision. This contract offers 30 hours weekly.
Compass Early Learning and Care seeks a School Age Educator for before-and-after-school programming. You will engage children, families, coworkers, and community partners while creating learning opportunities through emergent curriculum. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m., with location and hours based on program needs and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan interest-based and play-based learning activities
Maintain active supervision while engaging children in play
Document learning through observation, reflection, and research questions
Support children with diapering, dressing, and eating habits
Collaborate with families, coworkers, and community partners
Requirements:
One to three years working with children and youth
Familiarity with Child Care Early Years Act standards
Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certifications
Registered ECE, pursuing ECE diploma, or eligible designation
Bring creative, resourceful early learning practices to CELC Hillcrest while supporting children’s development, safety, and family connections.
