Real Estate Credit Analyst

Analyze real estate credit at BMO in Vancouver, applying financial assessment and risk analysis to commercial lending decisions. Support client-focused financing processes.
As a Credit Analyst supporting BMO’s Real Estate Finance Group, you will assess construction, development, and commercial mortgage transactions. The team serves builders, developers, and real estate investors across Canada. Your work supports credit recommendations, adjudication, portfolio management, and compliance with bank policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite new transactions and complete annual credit reviews
Analyze financial information and assess customer credit risk
Prepare credit summaries, correspondence, reports, and dashboards
Monitor asset and client performance documentation
Coordinate closings with clients, attorneys, and closing departments
Requirements:
Three to four years of relevant credit or lending experience
Bachelor’s degree required; finance or accounting preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities
In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective business writing and communication capabilities
