Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Lead accurate financial reporting at Pacific Coast Fruit Products in Abbotsford, using journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement expertise. Support a productive food manufacturer.
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant leads month-end close and prepares meaningful financial information. The position supports budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and regulatory compliance. It also provides guidance to accounting team members while improving finance processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end close, journal entries, working papers, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts for decision support
Reconcile fixed assets, inventory, payroll, and grower payables
Support auditors and prepare quarterly and year-end documentation
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Accounting or related discipline
CPA designation or active progress toward CPA completion
Three to five years of progressive accounting experience
Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and financial statement experience
Analytical, organized, accurate, and effective communication skills
