Registered Practical Nurse Medical Surgical

Registered Practical Nurse needed at Niagara Health’s Welland Site, applying physical assessment and enhanced nursing skills in temporary full-time care.
This Registered Practical Nurse assignment serves the Medical/Surgical Combined department on the fourth floor. You will provide safe, competent, patient/client-centred care while collaborating within a total patient care model. Current medication administration experience and IV therapy proficiency are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, competent patient/client-centred nursing care
Apply nursing knowledge, technical skills, and professional standards
Collaborate with healthcare team members
Document accurately according to best-practice guidelines and CNO standards
Facilitate patient discharges and support education
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
One year working full scope as a Registered Practical Nurse
Current BCLS certification and recent medication administration experience
Proficiency with IV therapy initiation and IV pumps
Knowledge of CVADs, CADD pumps, VAC therapy, and enteral feeds
Bring Registered Practical Nurse expertise, physical assessment, and compassionate care to Niagara Health’s Medical/Surgical Combined department.
