Support school-age children through play-based learning as a Registered Early Childhood Educator at CELC Hillcrest in Campbellford, Ontario. Work weekdays in before-and-after-school programming.
Compass Early Learning and Care seeks a School Age Educator for a kindergarten or school-age classroom. The contract runs through October 16, 2027, with 30 hours weekly based on program needs and funding. Bring early learning, emergent curriculum, and lifelong learning interests to your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan interest-based and play-based activities reflecting children’s unique interests
Maintain active supervision while engaging children in play
Document learning progress through observation and reflection
Protect children’s health, safety, and well-being
Build relationships with families and community partners
Requirements:
One to three years’ experience with children and youth
Familiarity with Child Care Early Years Act requirements
Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check certification
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
ECE registration, diploma pursuit, or eligible alternative designation
Bring creativity, supervision, and relationship-building skills to Compass Early Learning and Care’s school-age program in Campbellford.
