As a Second Cook - Pastry, you will assist Station and Pastry Chefs with production for the hotel’s Food and Beverage outlets. Responsibilities include basic food preparation, buffet service, menu knowledge, and quality checks. Professional, friendly guest service remains central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist pastry chefs with baked goods and outlet production
Perform opening, closing, cooking, cutting, peeling, and cleaning
Understand menu items, daily features, and promotions
Taste and evaluate food before serving guests
Report equipment or food quality deficiencies promptly
Requirements:

Two to four years of cooking experience
Culinary Management diploma from a post-secondary institution
Food Safe Certification
Ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure
Ability to assist other kitchen areas when required
Bring pastry production, buffet support, and attentive service to the Culinary team at Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa.
