Registered Practical Nurses at Berkshire Care Centre coordinate resident-focused care in Windsor, using clinical assessment, medication administration, and leadership skills.
Reporting to the Director of Care, the RPN oversees care delivery and promotes the Home’s values, goals, and philosophy. Responsibilities include individualized care planning, resident assessments, documentation, physician orders, and collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams. The position also directs PSW work and supports unit operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify individualized resident care plans
Administer medications and treatments according to standards
Assess health changes and communicate required updates
Direct, assign, and evaluate PSW work
Conduct unit rounds and supervise activities
Requirements:

Current Ontario RPN certificate of competence
RAI-MDS knowledge and AIS certification
Long-term care experience considered an asset
Strong written and oral communication skills
Clear vulnerable sector screen, TB test, and references
