Class 1 Snow Plow Operator
Parks Canada Highway Operations Unit – Unité des opérations routières
Operate heavy vehicles and snow-clearing equipment across Mountain National Parks as a Class 1 Snow Plow Operator. Hold an air brake endorsement for highway operations.
Parks Canada Agency seeks Class 1 Snow Plow Operators for positions up to six months. You will clear highways, remove snow, control multiple blades and salting mechanisms, and perform highway maintenance. The Highway Operations Unit spans Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise/Yoho, Kootenay, and Mount Revelstoke and Glacier.
Key Responsibilities:
Clear highways and roads throughout Mountain National Parks
Remove snow using medium and heavy vehicles
Operate wheel loaders, graders, and skid steers
Control multiple blades and salting mechanisms
Perform varied highway and road maintenance tasks
Requirements:
Class 1 driver's licence with air brake endorsement
Application including contact information for two references
One recent direct supervisor reference within the last five years
One past supervisor reference
Availability for a position up to six months
Bring Class 1 licensing, air brake certification, and snow removal skills to Parks Canada highway operations.
