Position Overview
DME is seeking motivated Welder/Fabricators to join our production team. This position involves the layout, fit-up, fabrication, and assembly of stainless-steel process equipment and tanks in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have welding and fabrication experience; however, training will be provided to motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Reporting to the Production Team Lead, the Welder/Fabricator will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality workmanship and efficient project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering specifications
Perform accurate layouts and measurements from drawings
Fit and assemble fabricated components and sheet metal parts
Prepare joints and perform tack welding
Install fittings, nozzles, and process connections
Purge weld stainless steel tube, pipe, and fittings
Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Follow production procedures and quality requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Perform welding and finishing work in confined spaces and at heights when required
Support other production activities as assigned
Qualifications
Technical diploma in welding and/or fabrication preferred
Red Seal certification considered an asset
Ability to perform basic welding functions; weld test required
Experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
Stainless steel fabrication experience considered an asset
