Quality Systems Audit Specialist

Quality Systems Audit Specialist in Bedford, Nova Scotia, coordinates internal audits and corrective actions while monitoring quality management processes in-office.
Reporting to the Manager–Quality at DRS Pivotal Power, this specialist supports the quality management system. The work includes audit planning, evidence review, corrective action coordination, process measures, dashboards, and continual improvement. The position supports mission-critical power conversion equipment for military applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan risk-informed internal audit schedules, scopes, criteria, and assignments
Conduct audits through interviews, observation, and evidence review
Coordinate corrective actions for findings and nonconformities
Verify corrective action implementation and effectiveness
Prepare dashboards and status summaries for management reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Three to five years in quality systems or process improvement
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements
Experience performing process-based audits and documenting evidence
Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Bring internal auditing, corrective action, and quality systems expertise to DRS Pivotal Power’s Bedford manufacturing operations.
