Part Time Telemetry Unit Nurse
North York General Hospital
North York General seeks a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry Unit, offering a part-time temporary contract with eight- and twelve-hour shifts. Support patient-centred care across days, nights, and weekends.
This Registered Nurse position provides patient and family driven care within a supportive, culturally sensitive environment. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary providers while assessing health, educating patients, preventing complications, and supporting restoration. The role also advances academic learning and follows health and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver excellent patient and family driven nursing care
Assess patients, provide education, and support health restoration
Use critical thinking to set priorities and manage care
Perform transfers and lifts with appropriate knowledge
Support quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development
Requirements:
Registered Nurse diploma or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
Enrollment in Coronary Care Level I within three months
Coronary Care Level II completion within one year
Use assessment, education, teamwork, and organization skills to support Telemetry Unit patients at North York General.
