Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a Full-time Contract opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse with one (1) year of experience to join the team in Comox, British Columbia. We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services!
Duties And Responsibilities
The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities Could Include, But Are Not Limited To
COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic;
assistance with vaccinations;
conducting patient history and physical assessments;
performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions;
counseling patients on preventive health care.
Qualifications
The LPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.
Skills And Qualifications
Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses;
Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice;
Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.
Other Requirements
Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
