Dean Faculty of Arts Academic Leadership

Lead academic excellence, strategic planning, and student success as Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina. This full-time executive appointment carries a five-year term.
Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), the Dean leads the University of Regina’s largest academic Faculty. The position oversees academic, administrative, financial, and strategic leadership across undergraduate and graduate education. It requires experience in higher education leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic and academic plans
Oversee curriculum renewal, program quality, and learning assessment
Foster research, scholarship, and creative activity
Lead recruitment, development, and retention of faculty and staff
Manage budgets and strategically allocate resources
Requirements:
Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline
Distinguished scholarly record commensurate with Full Professor rank
Significant academic leadership in complex higher education environments
Experience advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and Indigenization
Financial, operational, communication, and relationship-building expertise
Bring academic credibility, strategic judgment, and collaborative leadership to advance the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina.
