Lead CBC Money’s financial journalism from Toronto, using editorial judgment and strategic leadership in a full-time on-site position.
As Executive Producer, you will oversee daily, multi-platform business and consumer reporting. You will shape cost-of-living coverage across text, video, audio, mobile, and streaming platforms. The role includes leading editorial initiatives, developing a new daily show, and helping Canadians understand complex economic realities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee teams and develop CBC Money’s new content strategy
Guide editorial decisions under CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices
Coordinate breaking news and major economic event coverage
Manage staffing, scheduling, feedback, coaching, and development
Monitor audience trends and identify future reporting opportunities
Requirements:
Journalism degree or equivalent and seven years’ journalism experience
Experience leading daily, multi-platform news or financial reporting teams
Knowledge of legal and ethical business journalism issues
Strategic planning, communication, organizational, and people-management skills
Ability to work flexible hours and full-time on-site in Toronto
