Shape profitable contract surety portfolios at Intact by setting performance targets, reviewing underwriting decisions, and authorizing complex business. Work hybrid.
This Manager, Surety position combines portfolio oversight with leadership across underwriting and broker markets. You will build business aligned with product appetite, support complex renewals and exceptions, and improve results through disciplined performance management. Intact’s Specialty Solutions team serves Canadian and global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Build profitable books aligned with product appetite
Track portfolio targets and improve performance results
Audit files for guidelines, authority, and standards
Authorize complex business, renewals, endorsements, and exceptions
Collaborate with claims, operations, finance, product, and compliance
Requirements:
Eight to ten years of relevant Contract Surety experience
University or College degree, or equivalent experience
Strategic direction and priority execution capabilities
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and time management skills
High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
Use Contract Surety experience, portfolio judgment, and cross-functional leadership to advance Intact’s underwriting performance and service standards.
