NDE Technician Welding Quality Control

Apply NDE inspection expertise at Seaspan Shipyards in Victoria, performing weld and part examinations fully on-site. Use MT Level 2 certification daily.
As an NDE Technician, you will inspect structure and piping work, identify non-conformities, and communicate results to supervisors. You will follow specifications, class rules, SOPs, work instructions, and approved NDT plans. The position reports to the Welding QC Supervisor and works closely with NDE coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily in-process and final NDE inspections
Document results and communicate findings to supervisors
Review requests against specifications and class rules
Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions
Coordinate requests among production, QC, and service providers
Requirements:
Current valid CGSB MT Level 2 certification
Three years’ NDE Technician experience in structure and piping
Understanding of quality control and inspection procedures
Ability to read manufacturing and shop drawings
Ability to acquire Industrial Security Clearance
Bring certified magnetic particle testing, technical judgment, and quality inspection experience to Seaspan’s Victoria shipyard operations.
