Senior Human Resources Director Ontario SPCA
The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society
Lead human resources strategy and shared services for the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society through hybrid-remote work supporting provincial operations.
The Senior Director, People and Shared Services provides strategic direction, governance, coaching, and escalation support to the Human Resources team. This leadership role oversees employee relations, compensation, pay equity, performance management, and workforce planning. It also guides volunteer and foster services transformation across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and senior support to Human Resources
Guide complex employee relations and organizational risk matters
Oversee compensation, job evaluation, and pay equity frameworks
Monitor Ontario employment legislation and emerging compliance risks
Support performance management, workforce planning, and organizational change
Requirements:
Eight or more years of progressively senior relevant experience
At least three years leading teams or major portfolios
Experience overseeing employee relations and workforce planning
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment and human rights requirements
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related discipline
Bring strategic human resources leadership, sound judgment, and change expertise to advance Ontario SPCA people practices and services.
