This Senior Transportation Engineer role suits a highly experienced professional with transportation planning, traffic engineering, and infrastructure design expertise. You will lead complex projects while advising clients, managing delivery, and guiding project teams. The work covers roads, intersections, public transport facilities, and active transport networks across the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead transportation planning, analysis, and infrastructure design projects
Conduct traffic impact studies, modeling, and capacity analyses
Develop drawings, specifications, and transportation contract documents
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and delivery
Liaise with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and communities
Requirements:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related specialization
At least seven years' transportation planning and design experience
Proficiency with VISSIM, CORSIM, AIMSUN, and SIDRA INTERSECTION
Strong road design, traffic control, and safety knowledge
Professional registration with ECSA is highly desirable
