Senior Geometallurgy Project Geologist
Als
Lead geometallurgy projects at ALS using applied geochemistry, machine learning, and ore characterization to improve processing understanding. Collaborate with global scientific teams.
As Senior Project Geologist, you will support advanced studies and geometallurgical initiatives across mining operations. The work combines geoscience consulting, predictive geometallurgy, client engagement, and project management. You will collaborate with metallurgy, geochemistry, mine-site laboratories, machine learning, and software development specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist consulting services to exploration and mining companies
Integrate geochemical and spectral datasets using machine learning
Lead client meetings, site visits, and technical communications
Oversee reports, project budgets, and technical delivery
Review compliance with JORC and NI 43-101 codes
Requirements:
Five years mining industry experience including project management
Expertise in applied geochemistry and predictive geometallurgy
Geology or geological sciences degree; master's preferred
Professional Geoscientist registration or eligible credentials
Advanced QGIS and LeapFrog software experience
