This full-time Wealth Management position focuses on acquiring wills and powers of attorney or mandates appointing Royal Trust. You will guide estate planning, support existing clients, and advise internal partners on legal issues. Success requires advanced knowledge of wills, estates, trusts, and taxation.
Key Responsibilities:

Source new will and power of attorney appointments
Develop relationships with accountants, lawyers, trustees, and consultants
Guide estate and will planning issues
Provide advice through client and partner presentations
Maintain effective service for existing clients
Requirements:

Canadian Law Degree and Canadian provincial or territorial bar admission
Advanced knowledge of wills, estates, trusts, and tax planning
Experience in will, estate, and trust law
Experience with financial planning and estate administration
Demonstrated presentation skills
Use legal expertise, relationship development, and presentation skills to represent RBC Royal Trust in Halifax’s estate planning marketplace.
