Gas Distribution Maintenance Technician
SaskEnergy Incorporated
Use gas distribution maintenance skills with SaskEnergy, inspecting facilities, repairing equipment, and supporting planned work and emergency response. Significant travel and extended hours are required.
This permanent full-time union position covers gas system installation, operation, advanced maintenance, and customer services. The Operations Technician reads maps and drawings, inspects contractor work, coordinates resources, and maintains accurate records. The work also includes leak detection, piping modifications, service extensions, and safe natural gas use.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect contractor and excavator work for compliance
Read facility maps and drawings for assignments
Install gas lines and lay pipe
Prepare service and main extension applications
Perform leak detection on gas lines
Requirements:
Three years' experience installing and maintaining gas facilities
Journeyperson Plumbing Certificate
General or domestic gas fitter's license
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Support reliable gas distribution through facility inspection, installation, maintenance, leak detection, and accurate work coordination.
