Mining Equipment Field Service Technician

Support Sandvik Mining customers in British Columbia as a Field Service Technician maintaining and repairing surface mining equipment.
This field-based position covers mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and new equipment commissioning. You will work customer sites on a 14-14 schedule, subject to change, while preparing technical documentation. Training customers and maintaining safe work practices are also central duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Adjust equipment and replace defective components
Commission new surface mining equipment
Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives
Report unsafe practices, incidents, and near misses
Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, and housekeeping standards
Requirements:

Mining equipment experience considered an asset
Common Core training considered an asset
Demonstrated electrical and mechanical diagnostic ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work varied shifts and travel
Bring field service, equipment diagnosis, schematic reading, and commissioning capabilities to Sandvik Mining’s surface operations.
