AI Machine Learning Talent Acquisition Lead

This Manager-level individual contributor leads recruitment across AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Applied Research, Deep Learning, MLOps, and AI Platforms. You will identify exceptional candidates, deliver actionable market intelligence, and develop sourcing strategies for Canada’s AI ecosystem. Your work supports engineering and research leaders across Toronto, Waterloo, Montréal, and Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and engage high-caliber AI and Machine Learning talent
Develop pipelines through research, academic, and sourcing networks
Advise leaders on hiring priorities and talent markets
Optimize candidate conversion and offer acceptance rates
Streamline recruiting processes throughout the hiring lifecycle
Requirements:
Five-plus years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
Specialized experience across AI, Deep Learning, or Data Science
Knowledge of Toronto, Waterloo, Montréal, and Vancouver talent markets
Proficiency with research publications and technical conferences
Ability to close sought-after technical talent through negotiations
Use AI recruiting expertise, talent intelligence, and stakeholder advising to build Capital One Canada’s next-generation technical workforce.
