Senior Structural Engineer Calgary P.Eng.
Design Works Engineering
Lead structural design in Calgary using RISA-3D, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, and Alberta Building Code expertise. Work on-site full-time within an in-house multidisciplinary team.
Design Works Engineering seeks a Senior Structural Engineer with P.Eng. registration through APEGA and seven-plus years designing buildings. Lead multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional projects across Alberta and Canada. Serve as engineer of record while coordinating with mechanical, electrical, civil, fire protection, and architectural teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead concepts, analysis, drawings, specifications, and construction support
Solve lateral systems, transfer structures, and mixed-material building challenges
Review and stamp intermediate and junior engineers' calculations and drawings
Coordinate designs with architects and in-house engineering disciplines
Support clients, construction reviews, mentoring, standards, proposals, and fee estimates
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
APEGA P.Eng. registration in good standing
Seven-plus years of structural building design experience
Wood, steel, and concrete design experience
RISA-3D, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Alberta Building Code, and CSA knowledge
