Total Rewards Benefits Manager

Shape total rewards programs at Toromont Industries through benefits administration, pension governance, and data-informed program improvement across North America.
As Manager, Benefits and Pension, you will report to the Director, Total Rewards and lead a team of benefits specialists. Your mandate covers group insurance, defined contribution pensions, savings programs, leave management, and wellness. You will evaluate utilization, costs, employee needs, legislation, and market trends to recommend sustainable enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate program effectiveness, utilization, costs, and employee needs
Negotiate renewals and oversee funding, plan changes, and implementation
Manage brokers, consultants, insurers, and third-party administrators
Oversee pension, RRSP, TFSA, and share ownership programs
Prepare analyses and recommendations for leadership and committees
Requirements:
Human resources or business administration degree, or equivalent experience
10+ years’ experience and four to six years leading teams
Strong understanding of benefits principles and applicable legislation
Excellent problem-solving, relationship-building, and communication abilities
French required; CHRA, CEBS, FCIA, or FSA an asset
Use total rewards strategy, analytical judgment, and benefits expertise to strengthen Toromont’s employee programs and governance.
