Senior C++ Systems Engineer

Build Cloudflare Browser Isolation systems with C++ and distributed systems expertise from Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Seattle, Washington DC, London, Lisbon, or Toronto.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will shape Chromium-based browsing, remote rendering, and distributed browser-session services. You will work across C++, Rust, Go, and TypeScript while establishing technical direction for complex problem areas. This individual-contributor role emphasizes hands-on engineering, architectural judgment, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives from problem definition through measurable production outcomes
Implement Chromium-based browser and distributed systems changes
Balance latency, availability, security, and resource efficiency
Investigate cross-layer failures and performance bottlenecks
Improve resilience, observability, capacity, and release safety
Requirements:
Strong production C++ proficiency in substantial codebases
Experience leading complex multi-component systems improvements
Strong Linux, UNIX, networking, profiling, and debugging fundamentals
Experience designing and operating distributed systems
Ability to communicate trade-offs and mentor engineers
