Production Finishing Operations Manager
Safran
Lead finishing operations at Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel, managing production performance, quality, workforce efficiency, and HSE compliance. French and English are required.
This manager oversees the finishing department’s methods agents and manufacturing employees across sandblasting, plating, painting, and finishing grinding. The role coordinates production planning, resources, workforce versatility, operational problem-solving, quality performance, and employee skill development. It supports landing gear component manufacturing for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and adjust production plans with the Planning team
Optimize resources and workforce efficiency across finishing operations
Delegate decisions and guide effective problem-solving
Ensure quality objectives and operational problem-solving performance
Support HSE inspections, investigations, and action plans
Requirements:
Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
Approximately 10 years of relevant similar-position experience
Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
Excellent spoken and written French and English
Leadership, decision-making, autonomy, and managerial courage
