Home Support Caregiver Complex Needs

Support adults with complex care needs as a Home Support Caregiver, using behavioural support and daily living assistance in your home.
This independent contractor opportunity supports individuals with medical needs, developmental disabilities, or complex behavioural profiles. Provide person-centred care that promotes safety, comfort, dignity, and community inclusion. Work with families and professionals while following applicable care standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement behaviour support strategies and individual care plans
Support communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Maintain safe environments during behavioural escalations
Complete monthly reports and communicate with families or supervisors
Encourage independence, social engagement, and meaningful activities
Requirements:
Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, mental health, or complex behaviours preferred
Training or familiarity with Positive Behaviour Supports or crisis intervention
Patient, empathetic, and consistent approach during challenging situations
Vulnerable Sector Police check and Child intervention check required
Reliable, respectful commitment to high quality care
