Support rehabilitation care at Royal Columbian Hospital by applying mobility, strengthening, and activities of daily living treatment plans. This position serves patients within an interprofessional care team.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant with Fraser Health, you work under professional nursing, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy direction. You implement assigned treatment components, observe patient progress, and report cognitive or functional changes. The position also includes documentation, patient and family training, therapeutic modalities, and equipment support.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out assigned mobility and strengthening treatment plan components
Observe, document, and report patient progress or functional changes
Perform assigned balance, mobility, and walking tests
Train patients and families in mobility and daily activities
Maintain therapy equipment, supplies, and inventory records
Requirements:
Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deal effectively with others
Physical ability to perform position duties
Ability to organize work and operate related equipment
