Coordinate patient support programs for Shoppers Drug Mart’s Specialty Health Network, applying customer service, data interpretation, and medication reimbursement knowledge.
This Patient Care Specialist role makes you the key contact for enrolled patients and, when applicable, prescribing physicians. You will manage service offerings, address concerns, and help maintain access to therapy. Collaboration with Program Management, specialists, and case managers supports positive patient outcomes within assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as patient and applicable physician point of contact
Understand assigned medication molecules in full detail
Administer financial means tests and manage financial assistance
Confirm adherence and coordinate medication delivery details
Address escalations affecting the patient journey collaboratively
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication with patients and clients
Ability to analyze information, data, and regulations
Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or patient-facing experience is preferred
Flexible availability between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Use sound judgment, detailed documentation, and collaborative service to coordinate patient support across Calgary’s hybrid workplace.
