Chartwell Building Maintenance Manager
Chartwell Retirement Residences
Plan preventative maintenance and lead repairs for Chartwell’s senior residence, keeping equipment, facilities, and resident spaces safe and welcoming. Microsoft Excel and hands-on systems experience matter.
As Maintenance Manager, you oversee residence upkeep, equipment, furnishings, and surrounding areas. You coordinate vendors, supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, and support Health & Safety initiatives. The position also requires organization, customer service, and building systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement preventative maintenance for systems and facilities
Respond promptly to resident-area and common-space repair needs
Service fixtures, prepare units, and coordinate vendor work
Source external providers and manage compliant procurement
Lead staff and participate in Manager on Duty rotation
Requirements:
One to three years’ experience in a supervisor role
Extensive building maintenance and systems experience
Hands-on repair and vendor coordination ability
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Flexible for on-call and varied hours
