Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care

Provide nursing care for complex, stable residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Island Health. Work the stated 1500–2300 shift with rotating days off.
Under a manager’s direction, this temporary part-time LPN assignment supports long-term care within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess residents, plan personal care, perform nursing procedures, and practice within BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards. The assignment has a 0.79 paid FTE and 56.25 bi-weekly hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care to complex but stable residents
Perform assessments and plan resident care
Provide personal care according to assessed needs
Perform nursing procedures within full scope
Administer medications and operate related equipment
Requirements:
Registration as a practicing LPN with BCCNM
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize work and implement care plans
Knowledge of full-scope nursing practice competencies
Physical ability to carry out position duties
