Emergency Department Registered Practical Nurse

Apply assessment skills in WRHN’s Emergency Department as a Registered Practical Nurse serving adult and pediatric patients in Kitchener.
This temporary full-time Registered Practical Nurse position runs until approximately June 14, 2028. Working interdependently with the multidisciplinary team, you will assess adult and pediatric emergency patients. You will also help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while responding to complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess adult and pediatric patients requiring emergency care
Rapidly identify priorities and complex patient care needs
Function independently within the multidisciplinary team
Contribute to a safe environment for patients and staff
Support safety for visitors in the Emergency Department
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Medicine or surgery experience required
Previous Emergency experience considered an asset
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Demonstrated assessment and communication skills
Bring emergency assessment, independent practice, and multidisciplinary communication skills to WRHN’s Registered Practical Nurse team in Kitchener.
