Central Victoria Animal Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant for its surgery team. The 40-hour weekly schedule includes 10-hour shifts. The work supports surgery preparation, treatments, sterilization, patient care, and daily department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinary staff with treatments while maintaining asepsis
Prepare patients and materials for surgery and procedures
Clean surgery suites and sterilize surgical instruments
Maintain cleanliness across work, holding, and common areas
Create positive, low-stress client and patient experiences
Requirements:
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Compassionate, nurturing attitude toward clients and patients
Excellent attention to detail in tasks and communication
Ability to remain calm and adapt during changing situations
Surgery or specialty experience preferred; certificate an asset
