Royal Mail Fleet Vehicle Mechanic

Keep Royal Mail’s fleet moving from the Peterborough Workshop through vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across commercial equipment.
This permanent Vehicle Technician position offers full-time workshop work with one of the UK’s largest fleet operators. You’ll service a wide range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment, including light and heavy goods vehicles. The schedule follows a rotating shift pattern with occasional Saturday work.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect a range of vehicles and mechanical equipment
Diagnose faults across workshop vehicle systems
Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
Repair light and heavy goods vehicles
Operate specialist and shared workshop tooling
Requirements:
Level 3 light or heavy vehicle qualification
Experience as a Vehicle Technician on varied vehicles
Full manual UK driving licence
HGV licence with trailer experience preferred
Ability to support flexible service demands
Bring commercial vehicle experience, high standards, and practical diagnostic skills to Royal Mail’s fleet workshop in Peterborough.
