Early Childhood Program Assistant Ottawa

Support inclusive early learning at Rivermist Early Learning Centre as a Program Assistant, using play-based programming and active supervision daily.
Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton seeks a Program Assistant supporting RECEs in a group setting. You will contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating emergent curriculum aligned with ELECT and How Does Learning Happen? The work supports children’s learning, development, belonging, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Support RECEs with inclusive play-based program planning
Assist emergent curriculum implementation, observation, and documentation
Supervise children and support safety procedures and ratios
Build responsive relationships with children and families
Guide behaviour and support self-regulation and social skills
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Early Childhood Assistant Diploma preferred
Experience in licensed childcare with relevant age groups
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Standard First Aid, CPR C, and Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Bring childcare experience, responsive guidance, and play-based learning skills to support children and families in Ottawa.
