Recreation Program Supervisor Playgrounds
Town of Ajax
Use recreation leadership and strong planning skills to supervise the Town of Ajax’s temporary Summer Playground program across multiple locations.
As Program Supervisor, you will report to the Community Recreation Coordinator and Program Director—Playground. You will develop inclusive activities, guide staff, and support administration for the program. The work includes site visits, succession planning, goal setting, and coaching Playground Leaders when behaviour management support is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop fun and inclusive programs for participants
Conduct daily site visits at multiple locations
Assist with staff succession planning and goal setting
Support Playground Leaders with behaviour management techniques
Ensure staff follow established policies and procedures
Requirements:
Knowledge of recreational program and camp delivery
Excellent organization, time management, and planning skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated, positive, confident, and approachable
Availability for the full eight-week Summer 2027 program
