Senior Care Registered Practical Nurse
Extendicare
Support seniors through resident care planning and compassionate nursing practice with Extendicare at Arbour Heights in Kingston, Ontario.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will care for residents and provide leadership to personal care staff. The work includes reviewing and evaluating care plans, directing staff activities, and supporting new team members’ orientation and training. Part-time day and night shifts are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide resident care following nursing practice standards
Review and evaluate individual resident care plans
Direct personal care staff responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate personal care staff work
Assist with orienting new team members
Requirements:
Current provincial College of Nurses registration
Compassion in resident and staff interactions
Professional conduct in daily nursing practice
Respectful approach to residents and colleagues
Effective English reading, writing, and communication
Apply nursing expertise, compassionate resident care, and practical staff guidance within Extendicare’s senior care setting.
