The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks an Educational Assistant for regular classroom support within the general population. Working under the Principal, you will collaborate with teaching and professional staff to support exceptional needs. Duties include academic support, special programs, assistive technology, and behavioural plans.
Key Responsibilities:

Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Assist students with developmental disabilities
Implement special programs and academic support
Observe, record, and chart behaviour data
Provide toileting, yard, lifting, and pool support
Requirements:

Community college diploma in Developmental Services Worker
One to two years related school-aged experience
Autism experience and behaviour modification skills
Training in crisis intervention or behaviour management
Valid First Aid and CPR Level C considered an asset
Bring autism support, behaviour management, and collaborative problem-solving skills to Alta Vista PS students each afternoon.
