Home Care Health Care Aide

Provide personal care in Winnipeg as a Health Care Aide with WRHA Community Health Services, using safe care and effective communication.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a Health Care Aide for its Home Care Program and V1 Downtown Team. This in-person, 0.60 FTE position supports clients while considering comfort, privacy, and respect. The work requires organization, critical thinking, computer skills, and independent or team-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, effective personal care to clients
Communicate with clients, families, and coworkers
Organize and prioritize assigned workload
Transfer and transport patients and equipment
Travel between clients’ homes as required
Requirements:
Recognized Health Care Aide course completion
Experience supporting physical or cognitive impairments preferred
Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Basic Cardiac Life Support training may be required
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and physically demanding duties
