Lead academic strategy and research leadership at Aurora College, shaping post-secondary programming across the Northwest Territories. The position is institution-wide.
As Provost and Vice President, Academic and Research, you direct the Academic and Research Division. You oversee faculty, staff, academic programs, research activities, partnerships, planning, and compliance. Aurora College delivers adult and post-secondary education, research, student supports, and pathways serving Northern communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Set institutional academic and research direction
Oversee faculty, staff, programs, and research activities
Lead academic governance, partnerships, and expertise
Develop research activities across the institution and NWT
Manage performance measures, budgets, policy, compliance, and risk
Requirements:
Accredited PhD or equivalent doctoral program
Ten years’ experience in post-secondary organizations
Professor and senior academic administration experience
Strong record of successful research and scholarship
Two years’ experience with Indigenous communities in northern or remote environments
Bring academic administration, research scholarship, and Northern community experience to Aurora College’s institution-wide leadership mandate.
