Technical Lead Data Engineering

Lead CapIntel’s data engineering platform with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and durable workflow orchestration. This hands-on leadership role combines team guidance with production coding.
As Technical Lead for the Data team, you will own pipelines, workflows, and services serving financial instrument and client portfolio data. You will guide data engineers, strengthen reliability, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Client Solutions, and Implementation. The role emphasizes measurable outcomes and team ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead data engineers through capacity planning, delivery, and performance management
Own serverless services, pipelines, indexes, and workflow orchestration
Advance data contracts, lineage, quality checks, and DataOps practices
Formalize incident response, runbooks, monitoring, and post-incident reviews
Contribute code to new systems and high-risk platform changes
Requirements:
Seven-plus years of professional software engineering experience
Four-plus years focused on production data engineering or ETL
Two-plus years leading engineers, including hiring and performance management
Deep current Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and serverless architecture experience
Production workflow orchestration, SQL, relational database, and search experience
Build reliable financial data systems while growing engineers and advancing CapIntel’s platform with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.
