Lead ERP implementation and plant performance as Director of Operations in a high-mix, low-volume fabrication and machine-building operation. Permanent, full-time leadership awaits.
This Director of Operations role oversees production, planning, purchasing, stores, quality, and shop-floor teams. You will create bills of materials, production orders, and job-costing discipline while tracking labour efficiency and quality. The role supports a planned revenue expansion and offers development toward General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead ERP implementation, item masters, BOMs, routings, and production orders
Run job costing and reconcile estimates against actual results
Schedule capacity, labour, scrap, rework, and shop-floor performance
Control purchasing, inventory, stores, and material flow
Lead quality systems, custom builds, safety, and operations reporting
Requirements:
Seven-plus years in manufacturing operations
Three-plus years leading production or plant operations
Job-shop, fabrication, or custom equipment manufacturing background
Hands-on ERP implementation and job-costing experience
Lean practice and Ontario health and safety knowledge
