Enterprise Health Safety Leader

Lead enterprise health and safety strategy at Maple Leaf Foods, combining regulatory expertise with safety platform implementation across the network.
This senior position translates health and safety strategy into site plans, priorities, and standards. You will guide compliance with federal and provincial OHS legislation, modernize SOPs, and strengthen proactive safety practices. The work includes software rollout, performance analysis, and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
Roll out safety management software across all sites
Standardize SOPs for federal and provincial compliance
Monitor safety indicators and report performance to leadership
Lead audits, corrective actions, and emergency planning
Develop H&S teams through coaching and capability building
Requirements:
Seven to nine years of H&S-specific experience
In-depth federal and provincial OHS legislation knowledge
Enterprise software implementation and change management experience
Incident investigation and risk assessment expertise
Engineering or H&S degree; CRSP designation an asset
