Edmonton Health Care Aide
Easter Seals Alberta
Support residents in Edmonton through person-centered care, daily living assistance, and safe transfers at Easter Seals McQueen Residence. Work day shifts from 7am to 3pm.
As a Health Care Aide, you will provide long-term supported living care in a home-like environment. Your work includes bathing, grooming, mobility support, documentation, and meaningful resident engagement. You will collaborate with nursing staff and an interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
Support ambulation, transfers, mobility aids, and mechanical lifts
Observe, document, and report health or behavior changes
Assist scheduled medications according to care plans and MAR
Maintain clean environments, meal service, and infection control
Requirements:
Alberta Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
Active status on the Alberta HCA Directory
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Recent Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
Comfort with manual handling procedures and mobility aids
