Carpentry Foundations Instructor Iskut

Teach Carpentry Foundations through classroom and shop instruction at Coast Mountain College, using journeyperson expertise and strong facilitation skills in Iskut.
This regular term Instructor appointment runs from September 28, 2026, through March 26, 2027. You will prepare courses, guide learners, and support student success through feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction. The assignment includes 665 instructional hours, subject to minimum enrolment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate classroom and in-shop Carpentry Foundations learning
Prepare courses and guide students toward success
Provide feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction
Oversee shop safety and monitor related activities
Complete administrative and record-keeping duties
Requirements:
Carpentry Journeyperson certification and Grade 12 equivalent
Five years’ varied journeyperson field experience
Five years’ supervisory capacity experience
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
Effective cross-cultural communication with Indigenous communities
Bring carpentry leadership, teaching commitment, and organized facilitation to support learners at Coast Mountain College’s Iskut delivery site.
