Systems Engineering Teaching Assistant

Support Systems Engineering students through grading and proctoring at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus during Winter 2027. English-language work includes 97.5 scheduled hours.
This Teaching Assistant position supports SYS5100/ELG4157, Section A, in the Faculty of Engineering. You will contact students, grade course work, and proctor examinations. The assignment runs from January 4 through April 30, 2027, under the School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain contact with students throughout the course
Grade assigned course work and assessments
Proctor the midterm and final examination if necessary
Provide other assigned support for two hours
Requirements:
Complete this course or equivalent with an A or better
Complete prerequisite courses with an A or better
Know Modern Control Engineering or Optimization Methods
Attend a TA workshop if necessary
Be available for an interview if considered
