Apply Python and machine learning knowledge as a Teaching Assistant for Data Science Applications at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus.
This CUPE Teaching Assistant supports DTI5125/GNG5125, Section A, during the 2027 Winter Semester. The assignment includes student contact, grading, and proctoring for a course with 60 expected students. Two positions are available under the supervision of Arya Rahgozar.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students through 25 hours of contact
Grade course work for 35 allocated hours
Proctor course activities for five allocated hours
Complete duties under an agreed work description
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Python and Jupyter Notebook
Familiarity with TensorFlow, Weka, and machine learning libraries
Knowledge of Git, Windows, Linux, and SQL
Preference for thesis-based Computer Engineering graduate students
GPA above 3.0 and machine learning thesis relevance preferred
