Senior Firebag Operations Advisor

Support Firebag SAGD growth from Suncor’s Calgary head office through operations readiness, project integration, commissioning, and start-up planning.
As a Senior Operations Advisor, you will apply a Ready for Operations mindset across project concept development, execution, commissioning, start-up, and closeout. The work focuses on integrating future scopes into the existing Firebag asset while coordinating Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, EPCs, production stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure Firebag growth project readiness using OEMS and DAMP processes
Develop and steward RFO plans through every project stage
Plan Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability deliverables in detail
Coordinate EPCs, stakeholders, production units, and RFO subject matter experts
Identify scope risks and define mitigation solutions
Requirements:
Engineering certificate, trade certification, or relevant degree
Minimum seven years of progressive SAGD plant operations experience
Understanding of lifecycle management and operational integration principles
Ability to translate technical documentation into operational plans
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Bring SAGD operations expertise, project readiness leadership, and stakeholder coordination to Suncor’s Firebag growth projects.
