Accounts Payable Specialist Port Colborne
Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada Corporation
Manage accounts payable, reconciliations, and vendor payments in person at Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada’s Port Colborne plant start-up.
The Accounting Specialist supports all accounts payable activities for a new manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include invoice processing, payment controls, expense reports, bank reconciliations, and close support. The position reports directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, credit notes, approvals, taxes, purchase orders, and receipts
Prepare payment runs and bank payments, escalating unusual transactions
Maintain vendor data and respond to vendor inquiries
Review Concur expense reports against company policies
Support reconciliations, accruals, audits, and financial documentation
Requirements:
Three or more years of relevant accounts payable experience
Post-secondary accounting, finance, or related education
Working knowledge of coding, reconciliations, accruals, and payment controls
Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and Word
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally up to five percent
